Leading local industry figures to headline Compass 2025

Leading industry figures will feature at this year’s Mumbrella Compass events — gatherings that bring the marketing and media worlds together for engaging discussions in informal, intimate venues.

With separate events in Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Melbourne and Hobart, Compass will be attended by media owners, strategists, buyers, planners, creatives, marketers, founders and others with an interest in the big challenges and opportunities facing media and marketing.

Brands already registered include Kraft Heinz, Netflix, Uber, Flight Centre, Tinder, Wesfarmers Health, Mecca, Estée Lauder, American Express, Cartology, Oracle, Rest, Mastercard, Princess, Tourism and Events Queensland, and Southern Cross Austereo.

The event’s schedule begins with Compass Sydney.

It will host Publicis Groupe’s local chief marketing officer Imogen Hewitt; Ooh Media’s head of marketing Bel Harper; Christina Aventi, chief strategy officer at BMF; and Teachers Mutual’s head of brand and marketing Anita Ayres.

The Sydney event will take place at Keg&Brew Hotel on November 3, 2025.

Brisbane is the next city on the event’s agenda. Compass Brisbane is booked for November 5, 2025 at the Prince Consort Hotel.

Brisbane Airport’s head of customer, Kirsty Lucas; Rumbletown Ventures and Rumble co-founder Remy Brassac; VML Brisbane’s head of strategy, Andrew Kolb; and Elliott Bledsoe, president of Wikimedia Australia and co-lead of Creative Commons Australia, will spearhead the conversation on the day.

Compass Adelaide will take place five days later on November 10, 2025.

Scheduled for the Elephant British Pub, the event’s Adelaide run will have Nine’s managing director Sean O’Brien; Adele Gibb, managing director from Dentsu’s Carat; Weber director of marketing and e-commerce Nicole Parker; and Nation Creative’s head of copy and co-owner Katheryn Korczak.

Compass Perth sets off the second-half of the event’s nationwide run.

The Western Australian media and marketing community will have the opportunity to gather at The Globe on November 11, 2025 to hear from HIF’s chief marketing and growth officer Kristina Green; former chief executive officer of IAB Alice Manners; Social Meteor’s managing director Luke Whelan; and Mark Braddock, co-founder and creative strategy director of Block Branding.

On November 17, 2025, Compass Melbourne will take over the Quarterhouse in the Victorian city to bring to light the insightful conversations the industry’s having on the downlow.

The Compass Melbourne lineup features Thinkerbell’s CEO Margie Reid; Atomic 212’s chief strategy officer Asier Carazo; head of marketing at SCA Naomi Gorringe; and chief marketing officer at Mondelez Ben Wicks.

The final stop on the Compass tour will be November 18, 2025, at the Hope and Anchor Hotel in Hobart.

The conversation at Compass – Hobart is set to be facilitated by chair of The Diemen Awards Amr Elsayed; Meliora managing director Clive Dickens; and head of brand and marketing, Danika Porter, at Federal Group.
