Legendary radio duo Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer to reunite after 20 years
Wil Anderson and Adam Spencer are sparking up the chemistry that served them back in the glory days of their triple j breakfast show, which wrapped up in 2004.
The pair are marking the 20th anniversary of their final radio show together with Wil Anderson & Adam Spencer: The First Time (In A Long Time), a six-city comedy tour that “promises an unforgettable trip back to the early 2000s – well, the bits they can remember at the very least”.
Audiences can expect “an evening rediscovering the magic that made their partnership so dynamic and beloved alongside their signature sharp wits as Wil and Adam reconnect with memories, stories and anecdotes that defined a generation of triple j listeners”.
Anderson said: “Working with Adam on triple j in the early 2000s are some of my fondest memories and that is just the stuff I can remember. I can’t wait to be back onstage with Adam talking about the old days, and hopefully he can fill in some gaps for me.”
Spencer adds: “I don’t look a day older than I did in 2004. Because I was absolutely trashing my body back then and already looked 50! Join us as we relive the memories. In fact, feel free to prompt our memories and we will take it from there.”
Anderson and Spencer hosted the triple j breakfast show from 2000 to 2004.
All tickets go on sale Thursday 29 August at comedy.com.au.
