Lego Masters helps Nine to narrow weekly ratings win

Nine’s surprise hit Lego Masters helped the network top the week for primary channel share in a close battle with Seven.

The Hamish Blake-hosted contest, in which teams battle to build the best project, was the most-watched show of the week, with an average of 1.481m viewers tuning in to watch the winner announcement.

Nine finished the week on a share of 19.9%, ahead of Seven’s 18.5%.

The ABC was third with 13.9%, ahead of Ten’s 11.1%

Nine also won the weekly battle for primary channel share in the key advertising demographics of 16-39 and 25-54.

Seven was top for network share – featuring secondary channels too – with a total all people share of 28.4%, ahead of Nine’s 27.3%. In network share, Nine won in the 25-54 demographic while Seven won in 16-39.

So far this year Nine is narrowly ahead on network share, leading Seven by 30.2% to 29.8%
