Lego Masters pushes Nine to its ninth TV ratings week win for 2020

Nine has again taken out the win for weekly TV ratings, holding a commanding 29.0% audience share in the ninth surveyed week of 2020. Nine also won the two non-survey weeks over Easter.

Lego Masters, which premiered on Sunday and drew an audience of 1.2m metro viewers, was largely the reason for Nine’s success during the week, taking three of the top spots for the most-watched content over the seven days.

The show was also popular in the key advertising demographics for the week, holding the top three spots for programming with 25-54s and the top spot with 16-39s.

Behind Nine in the network audience share from the week was Seven with 25.2% and Ten with 19.4%. Nine was the most-watched channel of the week with an audience share of 20.9% above Seven’s 17.4% and Ten’s 13.5%.

Ten’s Masterchef also performed well during the week, holding six of the top ten spots for programming in the 25-54s and six again in the 16-39s. In total people, Seven News was the most-watched programming of the week, holding three of the top five spots.

Nine won four of the seven days for the week, taking out Sunday to Tuesday and Saturday thanks to the success of Music from the Home Front on Saturday evening which drew 815,000 metro viewers. Ten won Thursday night, while Seven took out all others.
