Leslie Ali joins The Jamboree from Three Drunk Monkeys, Host brings back Bob Mackintosh

Host has poached Leslie Ali from Three Drunk Monkeys to run the creative department of The Jamboree, it’s spin-off creative agency.

The appointment sees Bob Mackintosh move back to Host from The Jamboree after a ten-month stint to take on the role of Host’s digital ECD.

Mackintosh joined Host in 2005 as a founding member of its digital creative team.

Host CEO Anthony Freedman said: “Under Bob’s creative leadership Host irrefutably established itself at the forefront of digital creative work in Australia. We want to reinstate that winning formula to ensure we maintain this position.”

Ali started her career at Wieden & Kennedy Portland as an art director, before taking on roles as creative director at DDB London and WCRS, where she was ECD.

“Leslie is the perfect person to lead The Jamboree because she has a creative diversity that we love in our creative partners,” said Host’s chief strategy officer, Olly Taylor. “She’s a writer, art director, director and creative leader and has the experience we need to take The Jamboree to the next level.”

Host launched The Jamboree in September last year as an independent creative group with a brief to develop ideas with digital at the core.  The team included both Mackintosh and David Smith as creative directors.
