Levi Slavin departs Clemenger’s Colenso BBDO Auckland

Chief creative officer and Australian expat Levi Slavin has departed Colenso BBDO Auckland. It is not known where his next role will be.

His departure follows the departure of Scott Coldham earlier this year in January. Together with creative chairman Nick Worthington, who remains at the agency, the trio helped the agency win many accolades, including Cannes Agency of the Decade for the Pacific.

Before moving to New Zealand, Slavin was at BBDO Worldwide as executive vice president group creative director from January 2015 to April 2017. In 2014, he had a stint at Anomaly as global creative director working with brands such as Google and Diageo. Slavin has also worked at Saatchi & Saatchi’s London office from 2007 to 2010.

He first began at Clemenger Group back in January 2004 working at Clemenger BBDO in both the Melbourne and Perth offices.

Slavin’s work has won awards including 15 Grand Prix, 35 Cannes Lions, 20 D&AD Pencils and New Zealand’s first Black Pencil at D&AD.

Colenso BBDO Auckland’s managing director Angela Watson said: “Levi has been a constant contributor to the success of both Colenso and Clemenger. His creative genius has led to work that will always be massively loved and respected in and out of the industry. He leaves the agency this week with nothing but our love and best wishes for the future.”

Mumbrella has approached Slavin for comment.
