LG challenges pedestrian.tv to run its website on LG’s new smart phone for a week

Electronics company LG is challenging pop culture news website pedestrian.tv to run its entire business off a mobile handset for a week to promote the company’s new smart phone.

From Monday, Pedestrian staff will relocate to a publicly visible space within Westfield Sydney for an entire week where they will film interviews, shoot fashion editorial and post news stories.

“We knew that our challenge was how to demonstrate the capabilities of this phone to our target and to get the right people talking about it. By partnering with Pedestrian.tv we are able to take the phone directly to our target and showcase exactly what it can do through amazing content and activations with the phone at the heart – we’re really excited to see the guys running their entire business using just the LG Optimus Black,”Adam Ross, director, strategy, co-creation, Mindshare.

Using the LG Optimus Black, Pedestrian will be staging a publicly-voted model casting, a panel discussion on how to make it in the creative industries, Speed Stalking using Facebook profiles and live chat, a mobile gaming event and performances from bands Papa vs Pretty and DZ Deathrays.
