Lifestyle’s Selling Houses back for fourth season
Real-estate series Selling houses will return to the Lifestyle Channel for its fourth season. The announcement:
XYZnetworks’ The LifeStyle Channel today announced that it has commissioned Beyond Productions to produce a fourth series of the popular property series Selling Houses Australia.
Selling Houses Australia is The LifeStyle Channel’s highest rating series to-date and the success of the third series has exceeded all expectations.
“Selling Houses Australia is our highest rating program and the latest series was consistently the most watched non-sport program on the platform on Wednesdays. The
program is also nominated for four ASTRA Awards this year,” said Nicole Sheffield, General Manager, LifeStyle Channels.
“The team at Beyond has created a fantastic show and our presenters, Andrew, Shaynna and Charlie have done a wonderful job with the third series and achieved their best sales record yet – 10 out of 10 homes sold which has never happened before in the history of the series! We couldn’t be happier with the show and the results. We’re thrilled to commission a fourth series and can only see the format getting bigger and better.”
The popular property series helps Australian homeowners who are having major problems selling their properties. The LifeStyle Channel acquired the format rights to Selling Houses, which screens on Channel 4 in the UK, from Ricochet Limited and adapted the show for the
Australian market. Presenter and property expert, Andrew Winter, is on board for the fourth series. Andrew
lives and works in Australia and is experienced in all types of property markets. He has over 25 years experience in the property trade and believes that if you haven’t sold your house within two months – then you’re doing something wrong.
Beyond Productions is currently looking for homes to feature in the new series and will go to wherever the need is greatest and story most interesting. Homeowners can log on to The LifeStyle Channel website www.lifestylechannel.com.au to register their interest.
Production of the fourth series will commence in July for broadcast on The LifeStyle Channel in early 2011.

I have a very unique problem home situation in Mount Gambier Australia. We lived in a lovely dome house on 2 hectares of land ( this has just finished being completely painted thruout and renovated,) just outside Mount Gambier where my husband is stationed as the the regional manger of the Metro Fire Service responsible for all the south east of south australia. We moved here 13 years ago as I was recovering from severe cancer treatments, the peace and quiet was a treatment in itself. The views are magnificent and we have great weather with no water retrictions. We had the opportunity to subdivise which we did and the magnificent 40 add square house we built and subcontracted is luxurious throughout and has absolutelt magnificent uninterupted rural views. Unfortunately a contractor caused us enormous problems which caused us to nearly have to rebuild the whole house. There is not much to do to finish now, even the landsaping has been done including laying 300 sq metres of turf just in the rear garden.A recent heart problem and ongoing medical problems has now made it imperative that we move to much warmer weather but I am really desperate to have some help in getting the most effective chance of selling both properties. So far after many months of marketing the older house has not attracted many lookers and we have had no offers. This new house will be in a much higher bracket around mid 700s an I want to make sure everything is possibly done to ensure success. The house has it all, fabulous kitchen with all franke appliances including coffe machine, wine fridge, and corian benches. Corian in all bathrooms and laundry even the fully equiped outside kitchen.Everything in the way of storage is built in at great cost.the whole rear of the house has wide sweeping decking overlooking the views. There are two huge under house garages, one double plus and the other 4 car size with own toilet. The 35 fruit tree orchard, gray water sewerage massive rain water storage and solar water system makes this a very low cost home to run. Noe expense has been spared and all the fittings are top quality and tasteful ( so I have been told). My husband besides his very busy position is also Chairman of the Road safety Board for Sth East Sth Australia and sits on other vital commitees vital to our country,s defence. As a result he has no time to help me and I am now physically unable to do it all. PLEASE HELP US.
