Nine CEO Mike Sneesby said: “Lizzie Young has made a significant contribution to Nine since she joined us 12 years ago and we thank her for her passion and energy which she brought every day. We wish her well in her new role as CEO of WeAre8 Australia.”

According to its website, WeAre8 was founded by CEO Sue Fennessy and aims “to provide a sustainable platform for transformative change through billions of small actions”.

Young is the second executive to depart under current CEO Sneesby, following the departure of chief digital and publishing officer Chris Janz in July last year. Young was announced as a non-executive director on the board of Domain along with former CEO Hugh Marks in January 2020.
