The Australian COO John Allan, commented: “Everyone at The Australian is proud of the suite of digital products we created last year and it is clear that our readers agree – the rate of uptake of our digital subscription packages has exceeded our expectations. Louise is tasked with ensuring that we continue to innovate and deliver our world class journalism to our readers wherever and whenever they want it while building on our newly established subscription platform.”

Buson’s career includes a stint at The Guardian in the UK, and as a development producer for BBC New Media in London.

She moved to Australia in 2007 to join Sensis as senior product development manager, responsible for the product strategy of whitepages.com.au.
