Lovatts Media launches new print magazine
Australia’s puzzle magazine publisher Lovatts Media is launching a new print magazine which will focus on mindfulness, creativity and taking time out.
The magazine, titled ‘Breathe’, will hit newsstands once every two months with a cover price of $12.95. The first edition is slated for release on February 2.
In an interview with iSubscribe, a privately owned online magazine subscription service, publisher Rachael Northey said the title will aim to help readers slow down.
“Women in particular tend to put their own needs last, instead using all of their spare time to nurture others. We want Breathe to change that. Brimming with enchanting illustrations and thoughtful content, Breathe is a call to women to make more time for themselves. In a world shouting that we need to buy more, want more, be more, Breathe is about remembering to live mindfully and creatively, and it delivers practical advice and activities to help you do this.”
The magazine will include articles and pull-out arts and crafts activities divided into five categories: wellbeing, living, mindfulness, creativity and escaping.
In addition, Northey told iSubscribe Breate won’t be filled with adverts.
“At Lovatts Media, one of our core beliefs about magazines is that they shouldn’t be heavily diluted with ads. If you’ve seen the trending social media video that demonstrates how few pages are left in a traditional magazine once you tear out all the ad pages, then you understand what we mean. We are committed to Breathe being a magazine filled with content worth paying for,” she said.
Lovatts Media currently publishes over 20 puzzle magazines including Super Sudoku, Colossus Crosswords and Handy Wordhunt.
