Lowest audience of the season for The Voice

Nine’s The Voice has seen its lowest audience of the season, with metro viewer numbers falling to 953,000.

Despite the fall in viewers, it was the most-watched non-news program of the night and still managed to beat Seven’s House Rules and Ten’s Masterchef.

Competing in the 7.30pm timeslot Seven’s House Rules averaged 914,000 metro viewers, beating Ten’s Masterchef which managed 899,000 viewers.

Although it came third in its timeslot Masterchef was the most-watched program in key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54.

Nine won the night in overall audience share with 21.2%, beating Seven’s 20% and Ten’s 15.5% share.

Meanwhile ABC averaged 12.1% ahead of SBS’ 4.4%.

The news battle saw 1.147m viewers tune into Nine News at 6pm compared to Seven News’ 1.139m metro viewers.

At 6.30pm Nine News was also the most-watched out of the two networks pulling 1.048m ahead of Seven News/Today Tonight’s 1.038m.
