MADC reduces membership fees and launches new website

Membership fees for the Melbourne Advertising and Design Club have been dramatically reduced and the website completely rebuilt as part of a series of dramatic changes being instituted by the MADC Committee.

Membership will now be far more accessible and simpler for everyone. Joining fees have been abolished and an individual membership has been reduced to $60. Full-time students pay only $20 to join the Club and there is now only one, simple type of corporate membership – five memberships for $240.

President of the MADC, Dave Klein, says the Committee wanted to make the club accessible for all.

“We felt the costs were to high and the value just wasn’t there. Taking out a membership now guarantees big discounts on the ticket price of every MADC function. By attending only a couple of events throughout the year the membership pays for itself,” he said.

A new online booking system will allow you to join, renew and pay for your membership, as well as being able to view the events calendar and buy tickets.

The new madc.com.au will allow the industry to know all that is happening at MADC. The new MADC Awards entry site is far more streamlined with increased functionality, including a new online payment system. The categories for the Awards have also been overhauled and updated.

“These changes are just the beginning. The call for entries for the 2011 MADC Awards will open tomorrow and there are some really exciting projects in the pipeline, so make sure you have a look at our new site and join the Club,” Klein said.
