Made In Katana launches audio arm appointing Daren Lake to head of audio

Digital agency Made In Katana has launched a new audio offering with the appointment of Daren Lake as head of audio.

Lake joins the agency from New York where he was the audio production manager at digital ad agency F Sharp for three years.

Lake starts at the agency effective immediately

Made In Katana is already working with Spotify as its first audio client.

The new offering will specialise in 15 and 30 second audio spots, music beds, sound effects, branded podcasts and music scores.

Adam Callen, creative director at Made In Katana, said in a statement: “We noticed a gap in the Australian market for quick turnaround audio projects using a diverse range of locally sourced voice-over talent.

“We’re excited to utilise [Lake’s] expertise and networks, and have him working directly with us to run this division.”

Lake said: “I’m excited to work with an agency that is not only forward-thinking but specialises in a wide variety of media production.

“Leading this division will enable me to use my dynamic skill set of audio related talents to better serve clients and brands.”
