MAFS gives Nine the night, but Today trails ABC parody in Wednesday’s ratings

Married at First Sight continued its all-conquering run in Wednesday night’s ratings, giving Nine a clean sweep across all audiences and the key age demographics for the day.

Wednesday didn’t all Nine’s way, however, with the Today show not only being soundly beaten by Seven’s Sunrise in its own timeslot but also by the ABC’s parody breakfast show, Get Krakin’, later in the day.

Today managed a metro audience of 192,000, well behind Sunrise’s 265,000 while the ABC’s Get Krackin’, broadcast at 9pm, attracted 227,000 viewers.

Get Krackin’ though was dwarfed by the MAFS juggernaut which had exactly a million more metro viewers tune in – 1.277m metro and 1.714m nationally.

Across the key age demographics, MAFS had 386,000 18-39 year olds tune in, 632,000 18-49s and 683,000 in the 25-54 group.

Seven’s My Kitchen Rules came in a far second in all three groups recording 135,000, 252,000 and 683,000 respectively.

Across all audiences My Kitchen Rules was the second most watched non-news show for the evening with 740,000 viewers behind the Seven and Nine current affairs and news shows.

MAFS dominance saw Nine canter to an easy win in main channel share with 25.9% of the audience, Seven took 20.9%, the ABC 12.1% and Ten 7.6%.

In network share, Nine had a 33.5% share while Seven had 29.1% of the audience. The ABC recorded 16.8%, Ten 13.9% and SBS 6.7%.
