Major League Baseball Players Association appoints CumminsRoss as Australian agent

CumminsRoss has been announced as the Australian agent for the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA). The agency will deal with sponsorship and promotional opportunities and advance the business interests of the players.

The announcement:

The New York based Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), the collective bargaining and group licensing representative body for all active Major League Baseball players, has named CumminsRoss as its Australian business agent for sponsorship and promotional opportunities featuring the names and likenesses of the players.

MLBPA General Manager, Business Affairs/International, Richard White, said from New York:

“Baseball has over a 150-year rich history in Australia, and with more than sixty Australian-born players under contract to Major League teams, we believe it’s an opportune time to intensify our international resources in the Land Down Under. Major Leaguers, the face of the game, are the best in the world at what they do. This award-winning agency is sure to advance the business interests of the players and in turn help us increase the popularity of the sport in Australia.”
