Mambo and Marvel deliver limited-edition collection via Big W

Marvel and Mambo have collaborated on a limited-edition clothing range to be sold at Big W.

Two iconic universes collide this winter as cult Aussie brand Mambo teams up for a limited-edition collection designed for men and boys, launching at BIG W from late July 2025.

Bringing together the two brands, devoted fan bases and rich storytelling the Mambo | Marvel collection delivers a tongue-in-cheek take on the superhero genre. The result is a nostalgic and unexpected range that unites humour and heroics in true Mambo style.

The capsule features nine pieces across men’s and boys’. It includes graphic tees, hoodies, sleep shorts and trunks featuring custom-designed artwork by Mambo’s legendary artists Nathan Sheahan and Ben Brown.

Artwork highlights include ‘Surfing the Web with Spider-Man,’ a play on Marvel’s most iconic Super Hero. In ‘Deadpool Dog,’ Mambo’s infamous dog wears Deadpool’s signature red suit, fighting crime one bark (and fart) at a time. Meanwhile, ‘Wolverine Skeleton’ takes a gnarly, X-ray-inspired look at the indestructible mutant’s metallic frame, brought to life by Mambo veteran Ben Brown in homage to Marvel’s Bronze Age of comics.

The collaboration is a full-circle moment for the artists involved. “As a kid, I was obsessed with comic books, especially Marvel,” says Nathan Sheahan. “If you’d told 10-year-old me that one day I’d be drawing Spider-Man and the Farting Dog, and actually getting paid for it, I would’ve asked if it was April Fools.” Ben Brown adds, “I’ve had a long-standing relationship with Mambo and I’ve always been a big fan of Marvel. Wolverine was a no-brainer for me. This was a wild and fun project.”

Mambo, known for blending bold design with surf culture, satire and art since the 1980s, continues to evolve while staying true to its roots. From being worn by the likes of Robin Williams and Jimmy Page to today’s creative youth and musicians like Dom Dolla and Dune Rats, the brand has cemented its place in both Australian wardrobes and pop culture. The Mambo | Marvel collection marks the next chapter in this legacy, combining classic comic book energy with Mambo’s uniquely Aussie lens.
