Man and Dog fight to watch catch-up TV in new Freeview ad
Freeview has launched a new ad for its FreeviewPlus offering, with the return of the Freeman’s family and Dougie the dog in a race to watch catch-up TV.
A sequel to the Dog Day Afternoon TVC, the latest ad features the fight for the TV between dad and dog with the aim of communicating the simplicity of FreeviewPlus’ programming.

Hi,
I love the new Freeview ad but I would like to enquire what type of dog the dog is that races the dad in the new ad.
Thanks for taking the time to read this,
Kind regards

He is a merle border collie, not a koolie. His lovely semi errect ears are the hint. Google merle border collie and you will see they come in a few colours. As a border collie owner for 30 plus years I didn’t like the merles in the past but Dougie has changed my opinion. I love the adds, only a border could be that smart.

I was thinking the same thing. However is it possible that he could also be an Australian Shepard dog which also comes in several merle varieties. I’m not sure.
Cheers
