Mango Melbourne wins Simplot and hires Laura Dhondy as communications and strategy director
DDB Group’s PR arm Mango Communications has made a senior appointment to its Melbourne team, hiring Laura Dhondy as its communications and strategy director.
Dhondy joins the agency from CHE Proximity’s Attention + Influence where she was a senior account director for just over a year.
Her appointment comes seven months after Mango Melbourne’s head of communications Jessica Allison was promoted to general manager.
Throughout her career Dhondy has also held PR positions with brands including L’Oréal and Cotton On Group.
Alongside Dhondy’s appointment Mango Melbourne has also expanded its remit with Coles and is now working with FMCG brand Simplot on a project basis.
Speaking of Dhondy’s appointment, Allison said in a statement: “In her short time with Mango, Laura has already impressed us by showing how her strong strategic mindset and considered approach to tackling communications challenges can create impact for our clients.”
Dhondy added: “I’m really thrilled to be joining Mango Communications and the wider DDB team. It’s a company well recognised for its incredible culture but foremost for its ability to think creatively and strategically across multiple communications streams and ensuring the best possible outcome for their clients.”
Mango Communications works with brands including McDonald’s, Unilever, Volkswagen and TAC.
