Mapping tech company Nearmap appoints Sue Klose as CMO

ASX listed mapping technology service Nearmap has announced Sue Klose as interim chief marketing officer.

Previously the CMO of GraysOnline, Klose is has been a director of the company since August last year and will be filling the post for up to six months.

Commenting on Klose’s appointment, Nearmap’s CEO and managing director Dr Rob Newman, said: “Sue will bring her invaluable global experience to Nearmap for six months as we conduct a global search for a full-time CMO, and will assist in the selection of her replacement.”

Ms Klose added: “Having joined the Nearmap Board last year, I am delighted to take on this executive role at this exciting time in Nearmap’s history. Our growing scale across multiple geographies provides the opportunity to elevate our global brand, marketing approach and strategy and support further growth.”

Nearmap is an aerial imaging company founded in Western Australia in 2008. Along with Klose, the company’s directors include former LinkedIn Australia boss Clifford Rosenberg.
