Margot Robbie (and Leonardo DiCaprio) snubbed in Oscars nominations

Barbie might have ruled the box office and dominated cultural conversations in 2023, but the Oscars aren’t about to let a plastic doll win Best Actress.

Both Barbie star Margot Robbie and director Greta Gerwig were snubbed for Best Actress and Best Director nominations, although the film is still up for eight awards. Robbie is still up for Best Picture due to her producer role, while Gerwig is nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. Barbie was also snubbed in the Sound and Editing categories.
