Mark Murray becomes partner and COO at CX company Geronimo

Mark Murray, BT Financial’s former chief marketing officer, has joined mobile customer experience agency Geronimo as partner and chief operating officer.

Murray was with BT Financial between 2012 and 2016, moving on to a CMO role at Rate Setter for six months. Since then, he has been working as a consultant in marketing, digital and customer experience.

Previously, Murray spent over 11 years at the Commonwealth Bank holding roles including executive manager of product management, executive manager of segments, and leaving as general manager of consumer marketings.

In his new role, Murray will work alongside Geronimo founder and CEO Matthew Hunt to capitalise on the increasing demand from brands for end-to-end customer experiences across mobile platforms.

Hunt said in a statement: “Mark joins Geronimo at a pivotal moment. We have ambitious plans to move into new markets and we continue to attract senior talent to the business to ensure that we are at the leading edge of mobile CX service delivery. His marketing background and deep understanding of strategy and execution will enable us to drive the business forward and I’m delighted he has come onboard.”

Murray said of his appointment: “Geronimo is the leading mobile CX specialist in Australia and I’m excited to be investing in the business as we embark on our next phase of accelerated growth.

“As a former marketer, I look forward to working with Matt and the team and using my experience in bringing together digital, data and marketing to deliver outstanding customer experiences for clients.”
