Mark Pejic to exit IPG Mediabrands Melbourne after two years

Former Mediacom CEO Mark Pejic has stepped down as chairman of IPG Mediabrands Melbourne.

Pejic took on the role almost two years ago and since then has been responsible for leading the IPG Mediabrands Melbourne operation.

Pejic joined IPG Mediabrands in 2015

Before joining IPG Mediabrands, Pejic was Mediacom CEO, but abruptly departed the company in June 2015, after four years in the role.

Pejic was with Mediacom since the agency’s local formation in 2004 after it merged with Zenith Media, where he was managing director.

Danny Bass, CEO of IPG Mediabrands said Pejic would exit to ‘pursue new opportunities’.

“Mark, or Pej as we all know him best, has led our Melbourne operations for the past two years and contributed greatly to its success,” said Bass. “As he prepares to move to his next career step, we can’t thank him enough for his time with us,” Bass said.

Pejic said he had enjoyed his time leading IPG Mediabrands Melbourne: “I have a great deal of respect for its people and clients and wish them the very best moving forward.  I am excited to be exploring the next chapter of my career.”

Bass said IPG Mediabrands client relationships would now be driven through Initiative, UM and Reprise, with Pejic’s role not to be replaced.

“Pej has been a big supporter of our evolving business model and has led our transition in Melbourne very effectively,” Bass added.

“We wish him all the best for the future.”
