Market Eye appoints 3 managing directors amongst leadership restructure

Investor relations and media communications firm Market Eye has restructured its senior leadership team.

The changes include Ronn Bechler stepping down as managing director to the role of executive chairman. Bechler had held the title of managing director since August 2007.

Eric Kuret has been promoted to the role of managing director and CEO from his role as executive director COO, which he was promoted to in July 2018. Kuret has been at Market Eye since September 2008 as associate director, having been promoted several times over.

Kuret aims to lead Market Eye through its next growth stage.

(L to R): Eric Kuret, Adrian Mulchay and Craig Sainsbury

Adrian Mulcahy has been promoted to managing director, from his role as executive director. Mulcahy joined Market Eye in April 2016, and has more than 25 years of experience in institutional funds management, capital markets and analytics.

Craig Sainsbury has been promoted to the role of managing director. Sainbury’s previous role was executive director when he joined the company in April 2019. Sainsbury has 20 years of experience in investment banking and equities research.

Tristan Everett has been promoted from his role as director, media and communications to executive director. Everett has been at Market Eye since October 2017, when he joined in his previous role.

All appointments are effective immediately.

On the changes, Bechler commented: “The capital raising environment has also become more precarious. Market Eye is one of the few investor relations firms in Australia with an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), allowing us to partner with Broker Lead Managers to provide independent advice and counsel to Boards of Directors. Market Eye has advised on close to $2 billion in capital raisings over the past five years, and we are seeing an increasing demand for these services given the capital markets background of the senior team.”

Bechler continued: “These promotions will allow Market Eye to more effectively support small, mid and large cap companies with their investor relations and capital markets activities.”

Kuret, Mulcahy and Sainsbury have also become shareholders in Market Eye.

Market Eye was founded in 2007 and has advised more than 170 ASX-listed companies.
