Married at First Sight delivers strong TV ratings week for Nine

Married at First Sight has continued to dominate the TV ratings, delivering a good win for Nine. Each night of the reality TV show was in the top four for the week with Monday night’s Seven’s My Kitchen Rules managing to take the fifth spot for the week.

The success of Married gave Nine a total metro audience share of 26% for the week, beating out Seven’s 20.7%. The ABC, Ten and SBS attracted 14.2%, 6.2% and 2.9% for their main channels.

Across the demographics, Nine also had a good week with 40.8% of the 25-54 commercial TV audience against Seven’s 35.4% and Ten’s 23.8%.

Sunday’s episode of Married at First Sight was the most watched show of the week with 1,535 million metro viewers tuning in for the program. Seven’s best rating show, at fifth spot was Monday’s My Kitchen Rules with 1.04 million viewers tuning in on Monday night.

In the network total shares for the week, Nine attracted 30.3% of the total audience against Seven’s 29.7%, followed by the ABC with 17.4%, Ten with 15.8%, and SBS with 6.8%.
