Married at First Sight tops total people and key demos

Married at First Sight’s dramatic follow-up to Sunday night’s commitment ceremony topped the charts for the second night of the official ratings period, attracting 1.158m metro viewers.

The 10th episode of the season also topped the key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.

Last night’s episode saw some ‘married’ contestants texting other people’s partners

The program went head-to-head with Seven’s My Kitchen Rules art 7:30pm. MKR had a metro audience of 1.097m.

Meanwhile, Ten’s I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here, which also aired at 7:30pm, saw 621,000 metro viewers tune in.

Seven’s screening of the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics brought in 922,000 viewers.

Despite the success of Nine’s Married at First Sight, Seven won Monday night television with an overall audience share of 26.3%, beating Nine’s 22.8% share, ABC’s 11%, Ten’s 10.3% and SBS’ 3.8%.
