Masterchef achieves 1.441m ahead of tonight’s conclusion
Part one of the grand finale of Ten’s Masterchef pulled in 1.441m metro viewers at 7:30pm last night, ahead of tonight’s conclusion to the cooking competition.
Last night’s performance was up on last year’s semi-final audience of 1.389m.
The show – which was the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49 and 25-54) – handed Ten a winning audience share of 21.9%.
Seven claimed second place with a share of 18.7% while Nine settled for a share of 17%. The ABC managed a share of 14.8%.
Masterchef easily out-rated Seven’s Highway Patrol, which pulled in 763,000 metro viewers in the same timeslot while Nine’s 20 to One was watched by 572,000.
Nine’s local drama Love Child grabbed 587,000 at 8:40pm with 555,000 sticking around for a second episode.
Ten’s news quiz show Have You Been Paying Attention? was watched by 827,000 metro viewers at 9:10pm.
In the news hour, Seven News at 6:00pm grabbed 1.237m sliding to 1.163m from 6:30pm while Nine News at 6:00pm was watched by 1.074m, dipping to 1.015m from 6:30pm.
Nine’s A Current Affair, airing at 7:00pm, was watched by 970,000.
On the ABC, 7.30 was watched by 809,000, Australian Story (8:00pm) grabbed 740,000, Four Corners (8:30pm) pulled in 723,000, Media Watch (9:20pm) had an audience of 757,000 and Q&A (9:30pm) drew an audience of 574,000.
