Masterchef most popular entertainment program for Wednesday night
Ten’s reality cooking program Masterchef was the most-watched non-news program last night, despite finishing sixth on the ratings ladder.
The show averaged 868,000 metro viewers and was the most-watched show across key advertising demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54, according to OzTAM’s overnight preliminary metro ratings.
Airing at 7.30pm, the program beat Seven’s Border Security which pulled in 708,000 viewers, ahead of Nine’s Britain’s Got Talent which attracted a metro audience of 650,000.
Seven managed to win the night with an overall audience share of 19.5%, ahead of Nine’s 18.7% and Ten’s 14.4%.
Meanwhile, ABC saw a share of 11.9%, beating SBS’ 4.8%.
In the news battle for the evening Seven News won the night with 1.113m metro viewers at 6pm, in front of Nine News’ 1.109m.
