Masterchef the overall Sunday winner, but number one only in Melbourne

Ten’s Masterchef – Challenge was last night the most-watched show for metro audiences, but among three key advertiser-friendly demographics, Nine’s Underbelly: The Golden Mile was number one.

And in Sunday night viewing, Masterchef remains on top only in Melbourne, while the most-popular shows in the other four cities varied between Underbelly, Seven News and Nine News.  

Overall, Masterchef – Challenge last night attracted 1.674m viewers, just ahead of Underbelly with 1.65m, according to preliminary overnight OzTam data in the main metro markets of Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth.

Among those cities, Masterchef was number one only in Melbourne – the same result for the third Sunday in a row.

While in Sydney, Underbelly was the most-watched show followed by Masterchef.

In the key advertiser demographics 16-39, 18-49 and 25-54s Underbelly was on top, with Masterchef second.
