MasterChef tops entertainment while Nine wins Thursday

Ten’s MasterChef has taken out the top spot for entertainment on Thursday night with 508,000 metro viewers and winning key advertising demo, 16-39s, however it was Nine which celebrated an overall network share win. 

Next up in entertainment was Home and Away on Seven, bringing in 461,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine’s Hot Seat with 422,000 metro viewers.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 12 May Seven News topped the list with 1.557 million Total TV viewers, including 36,000 viewers on BVOD with an uplift of 3%. The program with the highest uplift was Holding on SBS, with an uplift of 140%, viewed by a total of 451,000 national viewers.

Next in entertainment on Thursday was a late episode of Seven’s Home and Away, with 400,000, while Thursday night’s NRL game had an average metro audience of 362,000.

Overall, Seven News topped programming with 968,000 metro viewers, followed by Seven News at 6.30 with 933,000 metro viewers. Nine News at 6:30 was next with 838,000 metro viewers, then Nine News with 826,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 601,000 metro viewers and Nine’s A Current Affair had 666,000 metro viewers. ABC’s 7:30 followed with 490,000 metro viewers.

As mentioned above, Nine won overall share for the evening with 28.1%, followed closely by Seven with 26.8%. Next was Ten, with a share of 19.1%, while ABC finished with 17% share.
