Masterchef wins 7.30pm timeslot as Seven’s House Rules boosts audience

house rulesSeven’s reality renovation show House Rules boosted its numbers last night, posting a metro audience of 924,000, up from last week’s audience of 856,000.

However it wasn’t enough to beat Ten’s Masterchef which was watched by 1.045m, up on last week’s audience of 998,000 metro viewers. It was also the most-watched show across the key advertising demographics (16-39, 18-49, 25-54).

Seven did win the night with an audience share of 19.8 per cent as Nine managed a share of 17.9 per cent. Ten claimed third place with a share of 16.5 per cent, while the ABC settled for a share of 13.2 per cent.

Also in the 7.30pm timeslot, Nine’s The Big Bang Theory grabbed an audience of 997,000, out-rating Seven’s House Rules. A second episode of the US sitcom at 8pm was watched by 810,000.
