MasterChef wins entertainment while Nine just pips Seven for overall TV viewing

MasterChef on Ten topped entertainment on Tuesday, however, Nine celebrated the overall network share win, just pipping Seven by .1%

The episode aired to a metro audience of 572,000 metro viewers, also winning key advertising demo, 16-39s.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for June 7, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.716 million viewers, including 42,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 3%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of The Rookie on Seven with an uplift of 81% and aired to a total audience of 390,000.

Looking back at Tuesday’s ratings, next in entertainment was The Chase Australia on Seven which aired to an average metro audience of 563,000 viewers, followed by Home and Away on Seven which aired to a metro audience of 489,000.

ABC’s Bluey aired to a metro audience of 464,000 viewers, while Nine’s Hot Seat saw 462,000 metro viewers tune in.

Big Brother on Seven saw an average of 356,000 metro viewers tune in, while Celebrity Apprentice Australia pulled in 416,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Tuesday with 995,000 metro viewers followed by Seven News at 6:30 with 933,000 metro viewers. Nine News had 829,000 metro viewers, followed by Nine News at 6:30 which had an average of 905,000 metro viewers. ABC News brought in 598,000.

Nine News at 6:30 won key advertising demos, 18-49s, and 25-54s.

As mentioned Nine won the night, taking an overall network share of 27.1% over Seven’s 27%, while Ten took a 21.3% share and the ABC had 15.2%.

Nine also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Tuesday was 7TWO with a share of 4.3%.
