Matildas kick goals for Ten, but The Block digs in

The Block managed to draw close to a million viewers across the five metro areas, with the Matildas also pulling the masses to Ten.

Nine comfortably won Sunday night, with The Block pulling 990,000 in the capitals, 60 Minutes drawing 481,000, and their Sunday night news only 12,000 shy of Seven’s news audiences – again, in the five metro areas.

Nine drew 37.9% of audiences, with Seven pilling 22.8%.

After scoring Seven the ratings win for 2023, The Matildas are now kicking goals for Ten, with 523,000 in the metros (the figure swells to 781,000, when you add the regions, and streaming) watching Sam Kerr and co. smash The Philippines by eight goals to nil.

Alas, it wasn’t enough to see Ten (16.2%) beat ABC (16.4%), who scored with their Sunday lineup of Joanna Lumley’s Spice Trail Adventure, Annika, and Shetland.
