Matthew Green new boss of Publishers Australia

matthew green publishers australiaPublishers Australia – the body for Australia’s magazine industry – has appointed Matthew Green as its new MD after the contract for previous boss Claudia Sagripanti was not renewed.

Green was previously MD of IT company Creative Folks which helps provide content management systems to a number of publishers.

Publishers Australia chairman Geoff Hird said: “Matthew has been a long time supporter of the association and has experienced firsthand the benefits of both membership and sponsorship. Add to this 20 plus years working with publishers on their ever-changing technology needs and proven operational and business management skills, and we have someone who can bring a new dynamic and drive to PA.”

Recent months have seen Publishers Australia undergo something of a reinvigoration, including the launch of a conference, and the body moving closer to the bigger publishers who are represented under the banner of Magazine Publishers of Australia which now has representation on the PA board.

Green said: “Publishers Australia is a strong, recognizable industry brand, and it has been my pleasure to have supported the association over the last four years. I am very much looking forward to the challenging and deeply rewarding opportunity this role offers.

Green starts the new role in mid March.
