Matthew Scriven returns to Nine as director of Melbourne sales

Nine has appointed Matthew Scriven to run its Melbourne sales operation.

The former marketing chief of Crazy John’s returns to the network where he spent a seven-year spell between 2000 and 2007, latterly as group sales manager.

He replaces Gerard Max, who leaves the position after 16 months in the role.

Scriven’s most recent position was director of Last 3 Feet Marketing, where he spent eight months.

Peter Wiltshire, group sales and marketing director of Nine Entertainment, said: “We welcome Matthew back to Nine to manage the Melbourne sales team. After gaining invaluable client experience in the last few years, we now have his combined media and marketing experience to draw upon as we continue to drive a client solution-focused sales environment across Nine Entertainment Co.”

Before joining Nine in 2000, Scriven held a marketing post at the National Basketball League.

He starts at Nine on 19 September.
