Ferrero shifts account to PHD
Media agency PHD has won one of its biggest accounts since its rebranding from Total ten months ago.
The agency has picked up the $10m+ Ferrero account which includes the Tic Tac, Kinder, Nutella and Ferrero Rocher brands. Spark PHD has also won the media account for Ferrero in New Zealand.
The Ferrero Australia media account – previously held by Maxus – comes on top of wins for PHD including Hewlett Packard, the Nine Network, and Fitness First since the agency opened its doors as PHD in November last year.
Ferroro marketing director Yannick Durand said the agency had offered “a frsh and innovative approach”. He added: “We appreciated the relationship we had with Maxu and wish the firm the best for the future.”
PHD managing partner Mark Holden said: “We are completely thrilled.”
Late last month Ferrero extended the number of its brands looked after by PR agency One Green Bean.

Fair point – I’ve updated the headline.

Credit, where credit is due fellas. PHD are very smart people and are bringing a fresh and compelling capability to the Australian media marketplace. This won’t be the last of their wins.

Agreed Mark, just the headline was a bit misleading with regard to Maxus.

Nice to see your comment MB. Mr Holden is one of the brightest and nicest people in the Industry, and after all the running around he and the PHD team have had of late it’s nice to see talent and effort being rewarded and recognised.

What no credit for Barry O’Brien, Chappo, Marty and the rest of their hardworking team? Total was a bloody good agency too, a good local shop that worked its way over a decade.
