Mazda appoints Alt/Shift as PR agency of record

Mazda has appointed Alt/Shift as its public relations agency of record.

The appointment will see Alt/Shift handle Mazda’s strategy and execution of lifestyle, consumer and travel campaigns, event assistance and its influencer and ambassador program.

Mazda is “incredibly excited” to work with Alt/Shift

The PR agency has been working with the brand since January and assisted with the launch of the car brand’s MX-5 RF last month.

Elly Hewitt, managing director at Alt/Shift said the brand is a “powerhouse” within the automotive industry.

“The brand is progressive, clever and brave – from its product and culture to its future goals. It’s exactly the kind of brand our team get excited to work on, and we’re planning for a long and prosperous partnership.”

Sonia Singh, senior manager of PR at Mazda, added: “Alt/Shift have a culture of appointing only the most talented candidates, which has resulted in an agency with extensive knowledge across digital and traditional media, an acute understanding of how to feed into an integrated marketing strategy and fearless creativity.

“We are incredibly excited to be working with them.”

In May last year, Mazda lost its senior public relations manager, Karla Leach, who took up a role at Nissan as its general manager for corporate communications.

Alt/Shift’s clients include Lion Dairy & Drinks, Delaware North Companies, Origin Energy, and GoActive Outdoors.
