M&C Saatchi Melbourne wins Slater & Gordon

M&C Saatchi Melbourne has emerged the winner after a four-way pitch for law firm Slater & Gordon.

22 February 2012, MELBOURNE – M&C Saatchi Melbourne has een appointed by leading Australian law firm Slater & Gordon to provide fully integrated marketing communications and strategy following a competitive pitch.

M&C Saatchi Melbourne Managing Director Jo Rozario said securing Slater & Gordon was a great start to the year.

“Slater & Gordon is an iconic law firm, one of the largest, most established and highly regarded in Australia with plans for UK growth,” Ms Rozario said.

“We are thrilled and excited to be chosen as a partner to help them realise the many goals they have for their brand.”

The pitch comprised four invited agencies.

The agencies were asked to develop a creative direction for the brand amid an overall architecture strategy.

M&C Saatchi Melbourne Creative Director Doogie Chapman said it was pleasing the creative concepts presented were received with “such enthusiasm” by the team at Slater & Gordon.

“There was a lot of aligned thinking and we can’t wait to get our teeth stuck into the work,” Mr Chapman said.

Slater & Gordon General Manager, Marketing & Business Development Kalle Amanatides said: “We were looking for a fruitful partnership with an agency that can grow with our company – we are excited about the future with M&C Saatchi Melbourne.

“They put forward a compelling case that comprised some very strong creative ideas inspired by an extremely well-considered, well-researched strategy,“ Ms Amanatides said.

Founded in 1935, Slater & Gordon has more than 1000 staff located in more than 61 metropolitan and regional locations all over Australia. The firm recently announced its planned acquisition of RJW Lawyers in the UK.

The firm has handled some of Australia’s most complex and widely publicised cases that include representing hundreds of dying asbestos miners; victims of medically acquired HIV; and women suffering health problems due to faulty IUDs and breast implants while also giving access to justice and affordable legal services for thousands of Australians every day.

The win comes hot on the heels of M&C Saatchi’s appointment to Australia’s largest bank, Commonwealth Bank (Friday, 17 February) and follows M&C Saatchi Melbourne’s appointment by CPA Australia to provide full service creative in October.
