M&C Saatchi’s Mark appoints Glynn Honey as MD
Mark, M&C Saatchi’s digital, direct and data business has appointed Glynn Honey as its managing director five months after the departure of Simone Blakers.
Honey spent the last year launching the local operation of WPP’s mobile marketing agency Joule.
Blakers moved to DDB Sydney’s direct division Rapp in May.
Honey previously held roles at Isobar Australia, @www Digital, and the creative and strategy arm of integrated digital agency Hyro.
David Whittle, MD for Australia at M&C Saatchi said of Honey: “Glynn is that person. His pedigree as a pioneer in the digital marketing space, credentials and experience are outstanding. He encapsulates the M&C Saatchi entrepreneurial ethos and we are excited by the prospect of Glynn propelling Mark to another level.”
Honey said: “There were many attractions to taking this opportunity with Mark. From the outset they demonstrated a clear and refreshing vision of a company structured for the future, rather than being rooted in service models of the past.
“They have genuinely focused on the idea, explored what is possible and dared to be different – and the results have been inspiring.
“This approach has earned them the trust of their clients and the gravitas in the market required to allow these ideas to see the light of day.”
