McDonald’s rewards football fans with Big Mac giveaway

McDonald’s Victoria and Tasmania has launched a social campaign that encourages fans to celebrate home goals by posting their celebrations as stories on Instagram and win a Big Mac, via Gemba.

The announcement:

Whether at home or in the stadium, Macca’s are encouraging fans of Melbourne City and Western United to celebrate home goals, and instantly score themselves a free Big Mac in the process.

Our recently launched social campaign, Score Yours, encourages fans to celebrate home goals simply by posting their celebrations as stories on Instagram. The best bit, if fans use our team stickers, and tag @mcdonaldsau, our bespoke Score Yours bot automatically responds with a code for a free Big Mac – how good!

The campaign comprises of player social content for each team, encouraging fans to get involved and showing them how, as well as fan and player content which leans into all the weird and wonderful ways fans celebrate their team’s success.

Launched on October 7th, and running throughout the 2022/23 A-League season, Score Yours is set to reward fans for doing what they love – supporting their team.

To score your free Big Mac simply post a celebration after a MCFC or WUFC home goal to your IG story using…

  • The Score Yours stickers
  • #ScoreYourMac
  • Tag @mcdonaldsau

Sit back and wait to hear from Macca’s!

In the words of our Melbourne City and Western United players: ‘next goal we score, score yours!”
