MCM Media is to bring Lady Gaga on a special one-off trip to Australia next year.

The “Telstra Thanks Presents Lady Gaga ARTPOP Gallery” event will celebrate Gaga’s latest “musical creation”, ARTPOP, which highlights Gaga’s passion for fusing art and music. It asks fans to head www.artpopgallery.com.au to upload what ARTPOP means to them. Submissions can be in any form including paintings, drawings photographs, costumes, sculpture, videos or writing. The gallery will exist online and physically.

Telstra has partnered with Southern Cross Austereo’s  Today Network and Universal Music for the one-off trip, with fans able to win tickets to meet Lady Gaga on Take 40 and 2DayFM’s The Bump.

Further details of  performances by the singer or the location of the physical ARTPOP Gallery will be announced over the coming weeks.

In a message to fans Gaga said:  “You communicate with me and each other with pictures, and artwork and graphics all day 24/7… You’re an ARTPOP generation and I’m hoping you will continue to all grow together and stay connected through your creativity.”

The announcement coincides with Lady Gaga’s ARTPOP album debuting at #1 on iTunes in Australia.

It is the second time MCM Media and its partner The Today Network has worked with Haus of Gaga and Universal Music Australia. In 2011, MCM Media, Austereo, Universal Music Australia and Vodafone joined forces to created a branded content one-off for the visit of Lady Gaga to Sydney which saw the Sydney Town Hall transformed into the Sydney Monster Hall for the event.

MCM Media’s content marketing director, Greg Tremain said: “It is so exciting to see MCM Media’s idea come to life with one of the biggest stars on the planet. This event will be like nothing else seen before, Gaga will make sure of that – and we are very proud to be creating that with her.”
