MCM Media restructures as sales chief Matt Tindale departs

Matt Tindale: leaving MCM after 3 years

MCM Media is restructuring in the wake of the departure of national sales director Matt Tindale.

Tindale’s position will not be replaced, and his duties will be split by market.

In Sydney, Luke Cook will take on the sales director role while Nathan Young becomes GM of sales and operations.

Melbourne sales are led by Jeanna Manifold, who joined as sales director from ARN in Brisbane in August.

Meanwhile, MCM is looking for a chief strategy and marketing officer to report directly into CEO Simon Joyce.

The new role will be responsible for ensuring the content, sales and marketing teams are aligned, and for managing the role of data across the three divisions.

Joyce said of the changes: “Over the past three years, Matt’s dedication and commitment to MCM Media has been exemplary and he’s been instrumental in helping MCM Media achieve success over that time.”

“Looking ahead, the promotions of both Luke Cook to the role of Sydney Sales Director and Nathan Young to the role of GM Sales and Operations are thoroughly deserved. They are both outstanding media executives with a real passion for marketing and a true understanding of integrated sales.”

On the new strategy and marketing role, and the importance of data, Joyce added: “Online video is set to dominate the online market in 2013 and as the biggest provider of premium online video in Australia, we want to ensure we are better utilising our understanding of our audiences across every aspect of the business so audiences and brands can benefit.”

The new structure takes effect in January.
