MEC strategy Allister Hercus has made the M&M Global young achievers list.
MEC Australia strategist Allister Hercus has been recognised as one of the rising stars of media by international media industry resource, M&M Global.
Hercus was one of 24 young achievers to be selected from around the globe for the M&M Global Meet the Millennials list with the criteria for entry working across two or more international markets, and being born in or after 1985.
Based in Sydney, Hercus covers the Australian and New Zealand markets. He also contributes to global pitches for the MEC network.
Entrants for the M&M Global list were judged on their achievements in international media to date, and their prospects of becoming a future media leader.
The win for Hercus follows the 2015 Mumbrella Under 30 Achiever of the Year award, a 2015 B&T 30-Under-30 Award as well as placing as a finalist in the Rising Star category at the Festival of Media APAC in March, making him one of the most awarded young executives this year. In 2014, he took home the ADMA ‘Young marketer of the year’ gong.
Hercus began his media career at MEC five years ago and attributes such early success to the training and guidance he has received at the agency. He says: “It’s a real rush to be recognised alongside such a talented group of people from around theworld. I’m very thankful to MEC for equipping and supporting me during my career so far.”
James Hier, CEO of MEC, said: “Allister is forging an impressive career for someone so young. We’re incredibly fortunate to have him as part of the MEC team and can’t wait to see where he goes from here.”
