The announcement:

News Corp Australia and Tubi are joining forces with the Media Federation of Australia’s NGEN program and Nova Entertainment to throw a Halloween party for the next generation of media professionals.

Taking place on Tuesday October 28 in Sydney, the Halloween bash will celebrate all things horror in the lead up to Halloween. The event will be hosted by Trinity the Tuck, star of Tubi Original horror film SLAY and RuPaul’s Drag Race, alongside Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel presenter and comedian Joel Creasey.

The celebration is designed to highlight Halloween’s growing popularity among younger generations who are also tuning into Tubi, which is home to Australia’s largest free horror content library.

News Australia general manager digital, Jessica Gilby, said: “Our Tubi partnership has exceeded all expectations, with viewer hours soaring 50% since March*. This Halloween event with global drag superstar Trinity the Tuck connecting with 350 of the industry’s brightest rising stars represents the next chapter in that growth journey. Entertainment should be accessible to all and the message ‘Why pay to scream when you can stream for free?’ captures exactly what Tubi offers for the next generation of Australian audiences.”

In addition to Nova’s Joel Creasey hosting the event, Jack Charles from The Chrissie Swan Show will also attend. Nova listeners will have the chance to win exclusive VIP tickets to the event, including flights, accommodation, and transfers, amplified through on-air integration. The Tubi Halloween event will also be covered on Nova’s #1 Drive show’s social media platforms.

Media Federation of Australia’s head of NGEN, Melanie Aslanidis, said: “The NGEN Halloween celebration has become a cornerstone event for the industry’s emerging talent – a chance to come together, connect and celebrate their learning and development. This year, we’re beyond excited to partner with Tubi to take the event to the next level and make it truly unforgettable.”

Trinity the Tuck’s Australian visit is part of a comprehensive marketing campaign that includes the event, press interviews and digital and print advertising. News Corp Australia will also provide editorial coverage of the event and highlight the best horror content on Tubi.
