Mediacom Australia picks up US online recruitment listing company Indeed
Media agency Mediacom has announced it will be the media agency for online job search player Indeed.com ahead of Australian launch for the online recruitment company.
The news comes after Mumbrella yesterday revealed that market leader Seek.com.au had moved the high profile Melbourne media account from Mediacom to Starcom.
“We wish Seek all the best but we have chosen to work in partnership with Indeed,” Mark Pejic CEO of Mediacom told Mumbrella. Indeed.com is a 10-year-old US company playing in the global online recruitment space in over 50 countries and 28 languages.
It is understood that Indeed use Mediacom in other markets.

“we have chosen to work in partnership with Indeed..”
What total BS. Mediacom didnt choose to leave Seek, they lost the pitch battle to retain them as Starcom just pitched and won it off them.
Why oh why do CEOs not get it. There is no shame in calling it for what it is – eg
“We are sad to end our partnership with Seek, and are really proud of the work we have done for them over the years and wish them all the best. However as one door closes, another opens, and we are really excited to begin an exciting partnership with Indeed as they launch in the Australian market.”
..much nicer way of summing it up, and no BS statemnets to try and save face, when blind freddy knows they didnt “choose” to end their relationship with seek.
mediacom’s pr/marketing needs serious work to stop coming across continually as arrogant and full of BS statements like their CEO’s above
