MediaCom extends its relationship with Westpac and Canon

MediacomMedia agency MediaCom has won two pitches for the digital components of the Westpac and Canon accounts, Mumbrella can reveal.

The agency has picked up both the Westpac Group’s affiliate business and parts of the Canon Australia digital account following two competitive pitches.

Both are existing clients of MediaCom but the wins see the GroupM agency expanding their digital services for both clients. These include the lucrative digital acquisition services for Westpac with SEM, display and affiliate marketing, while for Canon the company takes on social media and search engine optimisation.

“We are very proud of what we have achieved thus far in deepening our product to support our diverse client needs,” said Mark Peijic. CEO of MediaCom.“Authentic diversification is an important investment so we are pleased to see our planning and passion for it working well. Our ambition is always to provide our clients with the best possible solutions, and as this space is ever evolving it’s critical we stay ahead of the game to support them well,” he said.

Both clients said the consolidations would strengthen their digital presences.

“We are delighted to extend our relationship with MediaCom. Our business is evolving rapidly, and MediaCom have clearly demonstrated a passion for our business and the benefits of having social media, SEO and paid media under the one roof,”  said Vivien Lee, General Manager of Canon’s Consumer Marketing.

Karen Ganschow, customer relationship marketing manager at Westpac said the move would help them in the space with innovation. “We were really impressed with the fresh approach to the affiliates business provided by MediaCom. It puts us in a great position to drive forward our digital innovation”.
