Mediacom faces loss of Westpac to OMD

In a classic case of good news; bad news, hours after Mediacom announced it had hired a high profile new strategy director it lost one of its biggest clients.  

B&T Today is reporting that Mediacom has lost the pitch for the combined Westpac and St George media account to OMD.

Following the merger of the two banks, a closed pitch was held betweeen the two incumbents. According to B&T: “It is unclear wether the Westpac loses will lead to redundancies at MediaCom. But the account is one of the agency’s largest.”

Earlier today it was revealed that Mat Baxter, formerly of Naked Communciations,  was joining Mediacom.
