Mediacom GM Brett Elliot departs of two decade stint

Mediacom Melbourne’s general manager Brett Elliot is set to depart after nearly two decades with the company.

Elliot: “It’s been an honour to lead and work at an agency where I have spent almost half of my life in a variety of roles.”

Elliot has been with the media agency for 18 years, and became Melbourne GM in mid 2015.

Elliot said in a statement: “Working at Mediacom for so long, I have experienced numerous highs and lows and I’m really proud of the resilience the agency in Melbourne has shown, particularly over the last few years. I feel like I have made every contribution I can and that Mediacom has gained momentum after key client wins and retentions, creating award winning work and a strong and talented team in place. It is the right time for me to depart and to let the team continue to build on our recent success.”

While MediaCom finds a replacement for Elliot, the CEO of Mediacom Australia and New Zealand, Sean Seamer, will assume responsibility for the Melbourne operation.

Seamer said: “We are currently in the process of finding a successor and are committed to making an appointment that strongly supports the vision for our culture, our people and our clients.

“We will miss Brett, but his decision comes with our full support and respect. He’s always been a pillar of our operation and over the last 12 months has been key to recruiting great talent in Melbourne, strengthening our business to leave strong foundations for future momentum.”
