Mediacom hires Carat’s James Ledger

Mediacom has drafted Carat’s James Ledger to join staffer Andrew Livingston in the role of joint head of client communications planning.

The announcement:

MediaCom announces the appointment of James Ledger and the promotion of Andrew Livingston to the positions of Joint Head of Client Communications Planning (CCP). They will have responsibility for ensuring internal best practice across the MediaCom client portfolio in Sydney.

Toby Jenner CEO said, “Given the depth and breadth of the MediaCom offer; from project management to brand content and entertainment to digital innovation and technology to direct response to culture and insights it is vital that we have the right leadership in place to ensure client best practice is delivered and shared. In James and Andrew, with the support of Janine MCrystal and James Sneddon, both Group Directors of CCP, we have that. Both James and Andrew will maintain day to day client relationships.”

Andrew has been with MediaCom for the last 4 years leading clients who include; Universal Pictures, Universal Music, Best and Less, Canon and Volkswagen. In that time he has developed a strong team, great client relationships and delivered outstanding results.

Andrew said of his appointment: “It’s great to be recognised for my contribution to the MediaCom business, particularly at a time when we have considerably strengthened our business through our broader offer. I look forward to partnering with James in what will no doubt be, both a challenging and fulfilling role”

James joins MediaCom from Carat where he had recently been promoted to General Manager of their Sydney business. James’ appointment adds further strength to the MediaCom client offer with the creation of a fourth CCP team.

James said of his appointment: “Mediacom is the most exciting media agency in Sydney. The recent hires stand testament to that. When Toby invited me on board, it was a very easy decision to make. I genuinely look forward to challenges and successes that the position will throw up”

These appointments follow the hiring’s of Gemma Newland as Head of MediaCom Beyond Advertsing (MBA), James Sneddon, Group Director CCP and Nic Hodges, Head of Innovation and Technology.
