Mediacom makes several promotions to Brisbane leadership team

WPP’s Mediacom has made several promotions to the leadership team in its Brisbane office.

The agency is rewarding and recognising internal talent, with Kellie Dawson, managing director of Mediacom Brisbane adding it signifies how the agency has “key talent in leadership positions for all areas of our business”, focussed on delivering growth for clients.

Mediacom Brisbane leadership team: Clare Dlugosz, Hannah McAuslane, Tom Lyness, Kellie Dawson, Melissa Miller, Monique Baillie, Justine Prentice

Melissa Miller, has been promoted to head of investment from group client director. Miller joined Mediacom in 2004. In her new role she will be responsible for all investment activity in Brisbane. Miller will work closely with Nick Thomas, MediaCom’s recently appointed national head of investment.

Tom Lyness, who was previously group director, digital and performance, has been promoted to head of digital. Lyness will focus on leading and developing MediaCom’s digital capabilities locally while also being a digital advisor for the agency’s clients and media partners. He will also be responsible for the continuous ‘digital’ upskilling of MediaCom’s team. He joined the agency in 2012.

Justine Prentice has been promoted from group client director to client partner while Hannah MacAuslane, steps up to group strategy director from strategy and planning director.

Prentice will provide client service for all of MediaCom Brisbane’s clients, which includes Queensland Government, Sunsuper, Ardent Leisure, Hawaiian Airlines, Trilogy Funds, Rapid Media and Mediasuite. Prentice will also work closely with Monique Baillie as group client director to lead the client leadership approach in Brisbane.

Regarding the timing and strategy of behind the promotions, Mediacom Brisbane said that it is a result of a regular review in both April and October each year, rather than the being directly related to ongoing or new business. In their new roles, the promoted leadership team will also help deliver the new initiatives Mediacom announced to clients recently at a Mediacom Unplugged event.

Dawson continued: “In a year full of challenge and disruption, I’m also excited by the opportunities ahead for our 2021 transformation plans. Through physical distancing our people have managed to be more connected than ever locally, nationally and globally and that will only supercharge what we can deliver for our clients moving forward.”

The existing leadership team includes group director, technology and transformation Clare Dlugosz, and group client director, Monique Baillie.

Yaron Farizon

Yaron Farizon, CEO MediaCom Australia and New Zealand said: “In Melissa, Tom, Justine and Hannah, we have world class talent that will drive and continue to add value and growth to our clients’ businesses. Over the years, they have each made a fundamental shift to our Brisbane business. They all consistently receive glowing feedback both internally and externally for the positive difference they each make to their clients’ business, colleagues and peers.”

All new roles are effective immediately.
